Parents

At what age do you realize that your parents may be a little weird? Eli may have figured things out at an early age because he doesn't look too amused at mommy and daddy's antics. I remember when I was a teenager and thinking how weird my parents were. I was mortified when my dad threatened to wear an "I'm Deidre's Dad" sign when he mowed the grass in the hideous snap western shirt and cut-off shorts that I dispised. And I remember how weird and embarrassing it was when I had to call my mom from wherever I was. The nerve of her! Wanting to know where her teenage daughter was! Good thing we grow to love our weird parents.

I also keep waiting for Eli's first smile. Everytime I think I see one, it's followed by a grimace so I assume it was just gas. That or mommy being silly induces gas. Here we are attempting to get a smile from him.

Making silly faces

Poking those chubby cheeks

Making noises

And not amused. "See what I have to deal with?"
