Pardon my french, but I don't think it counts when it's in an acryonym. I reserve this priveledge for special blogging occasions and I feel it's appropriate in this situation. Who does Kanye West think he is? Senator Joe Wilson? Taking the micorphone away from poor little Bo Peep Swift like that, barfing your opinion on stage, and making little girls across America cry (myself included). It's not that I'm a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I get to hear her songs repeated round the clock on the radio at work so she has chiseled a small place for herself in my heart. But I have a special hatred for Kanye. I knew he was trouble the second he arrived on the hip-hop scene. He, like no other human on earth has this effect on me and I can't even say that I know why exactly. So when big bad Kanye comes huffing and puffing, blowing Moon Men out of the hands of Little girls, I get all riled up! So much so that I have to make a blog post about it. Look what you've done to me Kanye. This site is reserved for cute baby pictures, home remodeling updates, and other Doggett family happenings. I hope Jay Leno taught you a lesson, son!
Now onto rather sad news. Patrick Swayze, the actor who warmed our hearts in the 80's with iconic roles in movies such as Dirty Dancing (so scandelous for the time!) and Ghost, passed away the other day. He lost his battle to pancreatic cancer. The beast of all cancers. Even Kasey, who probably can't even name a Patrick Swayze movie, was saddened. Only Patrick Swayze can make ballet dancing seem cool. Only he could make the line, "nobody puts Baby in the corner" sound truly romantic. And only he can make being married to the same person in Hollywood seem acceptable. So thank you Mr. Swayze for making such great movies (Roadhouse included) and making Texas proud. And I forgive you for Too Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. Now if you'll excuse me. Eli and I are going to do a little dancing to "She's Like the Wind."
