I need to see that baby!

Now that I've returned to work, I relish my time with Eli even more. It's like Christmas everyday when I get off work. I am truly blessed to have the best day care in the world! I can rest assured knowing that he is in good hands. Although I hate being away from him while I'm at work, I get updated on all of Eli's doings, as small as they may be right now.

And also, now that I have returned to work, me and Medela Breast pump have become quite acquainted with each other. Eli eats around 5 oz at each feeding (his chunkiness may indicate how good of an appetite he has) so I have turned into a pumping fool. Dairy cow is more like it. I can now identify with a little show on TLC called "Dirty Jobs." You may have heard of it. Anyway, one of his "dirty jobs" was at dairy farm, attaching industrial-sized teet suckers on big mama cows. It meant nothing to me at the time, but times have a changed! I can identify with the blank stares of the cow as she waits 1/2 an hour for her udders to be drained. If only multi-tasking while pumping was possible, but it's hard to do much with only one hand!

Eli at Maddie's Day Care, sucking away on his thumb!

Now that's what I call a smile! See what I have to miss.

But this is one happy cow.

Who doesn't mind the pump. See what we go through for our children.

  1. He is so precious! I love that little smile. I will agree...pumping is definitely one of my LEAST favorite activities as a mommy!
