Look at him grow!

Gees, he's five months old already! Please somebody tell me that time doesn't go any faster than this. Looking back at some of Eli's earlier videos, I'm even more amazed at how animated and FUN he is now! Not only is Eli becoming an even bigger joy to us, my love for him just grows and grows. I catch myself saying, "oh my gosh, I love you so much. oh my goodness, I love you so much!" I'm afraid at this exponential rate, I will be saying that 57 times on his first day of kindergarten.

As a big, bad 5 month old, Eli can now:
* maneuver across the room via the roll technique.
* sit like a big boy in the high-chair.
* eat rice cereal like champ in the big boy high chair. It's like he was born with a plastic baby spoon in his mouth!
* take brief thumb-sucking breaks between bites of cereal.
* grab toys and bring them across midline (ok, that's PT lingo, but I notice things like that), and try to put them in my mouth.
* take off his socks, play with his toes, and try to put them in his mouth.
* play in the Baby Einstein Activity Center, then get frustrated when the toys don't reach to his mouth.
* giggle, especially when tickled.
* screach. loudly. repeatedly. (see video)

"Well if you must interrupt my playtime for a picture, go ahead. But make it quick!"

Baby talk

I am 30 years old and can count on one hand how many fancy hotels I've stayed at, and Eli's already at two! I hope this doesn't set him up for disappointment later in life. We stayed at the Mansion at Turtle Creek in Dallas for a conference of Kasey's and I would definitely recommend it.

Ready for a wintery blast. Man, I make this hat look good!

What a day!
