Oh lawd, has it really been a month?!?

Dearly Belated, I gather myself here today to blog about me, myself, my life, and my family.

Ok, really now. Eli is now 4 months old and so stinkin' cute that I can't stand it. He is a lovely young man who can now roll from back to tummy but still not tummy to back (although Maddie swears he did it twice in one day, I still have yet to bear witness to said milestone). And he so badly wants to sit up that he needs to be strapped into his rocker seat for safety. This kid will have some killer abs if he keeps it up! He sleeps from about 8:30-9:00 and almost consistently wakes up at 4:30. Once he's back in bed, that leaves me anywhere from 30 mins to an 1 of extra sleep. And believe me, I would take the extra shut eye even if it was for only 30 sec! Most of the time, Eli is content, curiously observing the world around him but he does have "a moment" every now and then that reminds me that he is only 97.5% perfect. Thumb sucking is still in full effect as well. I love the reaction it gets from people too! I may not feel that way when he is 4 years old going on 5 and still sucking away. And finally, to top it all off, the heart warmer of all mommy heart-warmers . . . the giggle! He must be all boy, because fart noises get him going every time!!!

Happy Halloween Ya'll! Eli dressed up as a little ghost, NOT a KKK member if that's what it may appear like to you.

And no, the dogs were not exempt from tortuous costumes either. My little BB was a lobster for all of 4 minutes!

Send in the drums!
Nothing better than an outdoor concert on a wonderful evening with family. Miller Outdoor Theatre had a great show (free too!) that Eli loved. He may not appear thrilled here but take my word for it, he enjoyed it.

So did Big Daddy. He bobbed he head to the beat and Eli, well, he sucked his thumb in perfect harmony.

What a great day for a run!
Now that it's been four months since little man arrived, I finally feel like I'm getting back into some sort of a fitness routine. The nice weather helps too. I don't know about you, but jogging in 100% humidity feels like I'm swimming and not jogging. I usually start off slow, a walk/jog of sorts, then meet up with Kasey and Stephen and jog the rest of the way home with them. Their ceaseless lawyer banter would make anyone want to pick up speed in order to get remain sane. It's a great motivational tool!
