Keeping up with the blog has proved more difficult than I thought. If only all the things I want to post could just magically appear on screen, you wonderful folks would have plenty of postings to enjoy. So when you can't blog regularly, you attempt to cram in weeks worth of happenings in an abbreviated manner. Fine by me. I have always enjoyed the procrastinator's pressure needed to get things done.
First off, I can't believe that Eli is three months old. I can't believe that I have a three month old son. I can't believe that three months ago I had a baby! He is growing up fast and doing more and more things that make new parents beem with delight.
Eli wasn't the happiest camper when Uncle Casey came by to visit, but look how cute we are!! This picture was taken on my birthday. I remember that because for some reason, I waited to wear that purple shirt on my birthday, as if it was something special. It was $6.88 from Target. Is it just me or does everyone end up spending a small fortune at Target everytime you go there?
I remember a time when this poor child had some "latch on" difficulties. At one point I didn't know if I had the will power to continue on with nursing because we just couldn't make the connection. I don't know who was more frustrated at times, Eli or me. Thanks to a little contraption known as "the nipple shield" (thanks Courtney!), we made it through the tough times and now look at him. He's sucking on anything and everything! The first lesson in patience as a parent.
In other exciting news . . . Eli has started rolling over. The first time it happened was in the middle of the night. I heard some squirming over the baby monitor and went in to find Eli on his belly, flailing around like a turtle on his back. Now he's on his tum-tum all the time. The weird part is that he can't roll from his tummy to his back.
Here is Eli's official 3 month picture. Magellen was a gift from Uncle Kit and Aunt Shelly and he is oh so cute! Eli and his buddy Magellen are just about the same size right now. I look forward to looking back over the months to see how Eli grows.

That's awesome.
